Sesriem Canyon @my_blue_passport

Photo of the day is via @my_blue_passport of Sesriem Canyon which has been shaped by Tsauchab River over millions of years. It’s one of the few places in the area with year round water. The Afrikaans named it after having to use six (“ses”) leather straps (“riem”) tied together to create a rope long enough to lower buckets into the canyon below, in order to fetch water. @my_blue_passport
