One thing is certain Miami has evolved into the world’s premier playground, offering a fascinating blend of cutting edge urban chick and old world Florida.
Art Scene
Miami is intertwined with an incredibly rich culture and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau is proud to highlight the diverse neighborhoods, foods and traditions. Visitors have the chance to explore the city’s multicultural richness including Wynwood and the Design District.
Beaches
Located a few degrees above the tropic of cancer, Miami comprises a network of barrier islands, coral rock and mangrove swamps, connected by manmade additions of soaring bridges and causeways with panoramic views. Miles and miles of white sand beaches with sultry Caribbean blue ocean waves hug the coastline.
Miami is the Wreckreational Diving Capital of the World, containing over 50 diveable wreck sites—such as ships, oil platforms, army tanks and the Spirit of Miami Boeing 727 jet- sunken to provide artificial reefs for marine life.
The Miami South Beach area in Florida, occupies a prime position between the Atlantic Ocean and the Biscayne Bay lagoon. Thanks to its excellent nightlife, superior hotels and excellent boutique shopping, it is a popular entertainment destination especially for luxury travellers.
Little Havana
Little Havana and Coconut Grove are hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered by intrepid explorers. It is rumored that one could spend a whole day in Little Havana without hearing a word of English spoken. Saturated with Cuban culture, a common sight is cafes where people sip cafecitos (Cuban coffee) and passionately argue about everything from love to politics, while the sounds of salsa and merengue fill the air. Domino Park is a classic stop to watch Cuban elders play dominos.
A local guide can lead you through Little Havana in search of the most authentic Cuban foods. Open-air fruit markets, cigar shops and Latin restaurants line the streets of this multicultural neighbourhood, which is the epicenter of Cuban culture in Miami.
COSTA RICA – 10 – 13 FEB
Learn about the rich history of Costa Rica’s chocolate before indulging on a hands-on chocolate making class with local culinary artist Herny Bodholt.
Renowned for its extreme zip-lining if you’re feeling adventurous, harness up and slide along a series of zip lines suspended above the valleys and treetops of the tropical forest, keeping an eye out for unique wildlife along the route.

GALAPAGOS EXPEDITION 19 – 23 FEB
Walk past lounging groups of sea lions to spy blue-footed boobies nesting on the sheer island cliffs, and stroll along the edge of a waved albatross breeding colony to catch a glimpse of their impressive mating dance
Snorkel with vibrantly coloured schools of fish, swim with sea lions or paddle through the crystal-clear waters by kayak for a chance to spot sea turtles, manta rays or iguanas sunning themselves on the nearby shore.
